Non rising stem gate valve is a valve stem is not outside stem, it is suitable for outdoor working condition where are stand area or dust area. Stainless Steel non rising stem gate valves are usually used on clean liquids and gases.

Non rising stem gate valve is stead of cast iron gate valve, it is used for cut off flow in pipeline. Compared to rising stem gate valve, non-rising stem gate valve has short structure, it takes up less space when valve mounted in pipeline. Because the mechanish inside the pipe open& close the valve without raising the stem. 

When open or close valve, the stem is not moved, the disc is moved by rotating thread. Non rising stem gate valve is a valve stem is not outside stem, that's way, it is effectively prevent stem from standstorm demaging.

This simple system has a couple of disadvantages which can be avoided compared with another type of gate valve: the non-rising stem gate valve. As for the non-rising stem gate valve, it is usually suitable for tight places where there is not enough room for the stem to raise, for example, places with underground pipes.
