Valve Leakages of Body and Bonnet. One reasons for valve leakage is the quality of castings are not high, there are defects such as sand hole and slag inclusions on the valve cover or the valve body. The others might be Cold weather freezed and broken valves; Poor Welding, there are slag inclusion, unwelded, stress cracks and etc. Cast iron valve is demaged by heavy objective.
Maintaince to the above condition:
Improving the quality of casting (Cast Steel Valve and Cast Iron Valve), taking strictly inspection as per such standards before Valve installation.
To protect industrial valves which are used in 0 degree or below with warm jaket or heat. Remove water when valve stop working.
Welds of valve body and bonnet by welding shall be effected strictly according to operation manual of Welding. Non-dective inspecting and pressure testing of Shell after welding.
Do Not put heavy things on Valve. Do not hit cast iron valve and non-metallic valve by hammer. There is a yoke or support for large size valve when valves is installed.
