Y Pattern Valves are suitable for cutting off or connect the flow on pipeline such aspetroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer and electric power industries. Suitable work pressure from 1.6mpa to 6.4mpa and operating temperature from -29 to 550 degree. Suitable medium such as water, oil, steam and sour medium. There are manual operated and pneumatic actuator.
Types of Y pattern Valve
1. As per screw position of stem, there are outside thread and inside thread
2. As per flow direction, there are straight through way Y pattern globe valve and direct flow globe valve
3. As per seal structure, there are metal seal globe valve and bellow seal globe valve
4. As per valve type, there are Y pattern check valve, Y Pattern globe valve and pressure seal Y pattern globe valve.(find picture as below:)
The straight-through way Y pattern globe valve is the most common structure, but it has the greatest fluid resistance. Direct flow type globe valve has smaller resistance and used for solid particles or viscosity of the fluid.

Y pattern globe valve also called Y type globe valve or Y type stop valve. It is one of most popular type valve in market because Y type globe valve has many advantages, such as less friction when valve working, long life time, easy maintenance and low cost. Y pattern globe valve not only suitable for middle pressure and low pressure work condition, but also high pressure work condition.
work pinciple of closed globe valve is relied on torque pressure of Y type globe valve to allow valve disc sealing tight with valve seat surface, so that the flow is cut off. It is not bi-direction of globe valve, there is a direction mentioned on valve body and shall complied to same direction when Y type globe valve is installed.
