The work principle of cryogenic valves

Cryogenic valves are designed to be used in very cold applications, say below minus 20 degree as low temperature service and less than minus 73 degree as cryogenic service. They are widely used in many projects worked with liquefied gases or compressed natural gas.


Cryogenic valve are ablility to be fully functional to keep in closed position in cold temperature and to keep liquefied gases or other low temperature service secure and safely contained. A cryogenic valve is designed to react to high pressure which pushes the valve to open position to allow the media to flow. 


The common material for cryogenci valves are stainless steel with deep cold treatment or with extension stem.


Compared to other medium, the cryogenic medium is very sensitive. Any leakages in an unwanted place cause serious damages. That's way, it needs regular checking when cryogenic service processing.


There are four types of cryogenic valves that are ideal for cryogenic media. Such as cryogenic globe valve, cryogenic gate valve, cryogenic ball valve and cryogenic butterfly valve. According to different working condition, we choose the right type cryogenic valve.
