Comparison table of common metal materials specified by different international standards

Valves are critical components in many industries, ensuring efficient flow control of fluids. The material used to manufacture valves is of utmost importance as it directly impacts the effectiveness and longevity of the valve. International standards have been established to ensure that valves meet certain requirements for their specific applications.

For instance, for valves used in high-pressure applications, materials such as forged steel or chrome-molybdenum steel are commonly used due to their excellent strength and durability. Stainless steel is an excellent choice for high-temperature applications due to its resistance to corrosion and heat.

However, different international standards has different description of material. For example,  some one need cast steel gate valve. In API Standard, it mentioned A216 WCB, in China it called 25 Steel and GS-C25 in Germany. It is very difficult to distinguish them. Here we collect comparison table of the common metal materials specified by American, German, British, Japanese and Russian international Standards.
